CHRISTMAS SNACKS 1 OF 3: PRAWN AND AVO RITZ WITH SPICY MARIE ROSE SAUCE
The party season is here! Pop the corks and serve up yummy snacks that involve next to no cooking. A little bit of imagination and a lot of our spice is all you need. Here is the first easy-peasy idea to get you started.
- WHAT YOU WILL NEED -
- store-bought mayonnaise
- store-bought tomato sauce
- lemon juice
- Canadian Herb & Spice Tastebud SPICY blend
- cooked, peeled prawns or shrimps
- gem lettuce leaves
- avocado, drizzled with lemon juice to prevent discolouration
- METHOD -
To make the Marie Rose sauce, mix mayo and tomato sauce – the ratio depends on your preference – we like 60% mayo and 40% tomato sauce. Then, add lemon juice and Cape Herb & SpiceTastebud SPICY to taste – you decide how tart and spicy you like it! Stir to combine.
Spoon the cooked prawns into small glasses, spoon over Marie Rose sauce, add plenty of avo and a baby gem lettuce leaf. Top with micro herbs or edible flowers for a touch of Christmas pretty.
