Sometimes it’s just too darn hot to slave over the stove for hours. When those hot Summer days come, I have the perfect lunch solution for you – My Cape Herbs & Spice Thai 7 Prawn Bowl. This dish is a great option for a healthy, delicious, quick to prepare meal filled with raw veggies and prawns on a bed of noodles. I’ve made all kinds of variations for this dish including replacing the prawns with teriyaki chicken strips but there’s just something about Summer that draws me to seafood. The Cape Herbs & Spice Thai 7 Spice completes the dish by adding a delicious bite to the prawns and the sauce that’ll keep you coming back to this dish.

- METHOD -

Rinse the prawns through with water and pat dry using a paper towel.

Then heat the oil on medium in a non-stick pan and add the prawns. Sauté for 2 minutes then add 1 tsp. Cape Herbs & Spice Thai 7 Spice, salt & pepper. Allow the prawns to cook for a further 3-5 minutes depending on the size. Less time for smaller prawn and set aside.

Cook the 2-minute noodles as per the instructions on the package.

Then in a small shallow bowl add in the noodles. Layer the prawns and raw vegetables over the noodles in segments as you like.

In a separate small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the sauce. Add the sauce into a small Ziploc bag and cut the tip. Squeeze the sauce over the bowl. You can use as much or as little as you like.

Serve the Prawn Bowl immediately and enjoy.
